The work “Inflect” investigates the perception of body and space in the face of the digital age, exploring the shifting boundaries between the tangible and the virtual. How is social media, with its endless reflections and curated surfaces, influencing our perception and interaction with physical space? The installation creates an illusory infinite space, merging and entwining the viewers’ reflections into a continuous loop of self and other. A strong LED light floods the surroundings in vibrant blue, imprinting an intense afterimage in a complementary hue, as if their seemingly digital encounter had left a the spectral residue.
A similar work was exhibited at Hamburger Kunsthalle in 2021.
